Brick Brewing out in full force as Toronto's Festival of Beer moves to new home at Exhibition Place

Ontario's largest Canadian owned craft brewer features three of its top
brands as popular festival moves to larger location

WATERLOO, ON, July 30 /CNW/ - Brick Brewing Co. Limited (TSX: BRB)
welcomes the move of Toronto's premier beer festival to a larger location this
year, enabling more people to enjoy the more than 200 brands of beer on
display. Toronto's Festival of Beer is leaving historic Fort York after 14
years and will move to Bandshell Park at Exhibition Place for its August 6 to
9 run to accommodate the bigger crowds that have been showing up every year.
Brick Brewing has three tents at the festival featuring top brands such
as Waterloo Dark, Waterloo Wheat, and Red Baron as well as Palm Amber Ale, a
speciality Belgian beer it imports to Canada.
"It's not surprising Toronto's Festival of Beer has grown in popularity
each year and we're supportive of the move to a larger location, which will
enable us to meet even more people over the four-day event," said Sean Dennis,
Marketing Director, Brick Brewing Company. "The Festival enables us to speak
directly to beer consumers that have supported our growth over the past 25
years while introducing our brands to a new generation of consumers who may
not know us as well."
More than 20,000 people are expected at Canada's premier celebration of
the golden beverage, complete with real southern BBQ, live entertainment and
grilling demonstrations by TV personalities.
"Many younger beer drinkers don't realize that Brick Brewing literally
started the craft beer movement in Ontario 25 years ago, so it's only natural
they are a part of the festival," says Greg Cosway, owner of Toronto's
Festival of Beer. "Ontario has such a rich history in the brewing business and
the festival is a great way to meet the people behind the labels and to get a
richer sense of our brewing traditions."
